Systemic Coaching and Constellations: A New Lens for Coaches
John is the author of Systemic Coaching and Constellations, a practical and thoughtful book that introduces coaches to the principles of systemic thinking. The book offers much more than a theoretical foundation, it provides real-life examples, exercises, and practices that allow coaches to integrate this perspective into their own work.
At the heart of his approach is the idea that people don’t exist in isolation, and that the challenges they face often emerge from invisible dynamics within the systems they belong to, family, teams, organizations, or cultural narratives. Systemic coaching invites the client to explore these connections and bring to light patterns, loyalties or blockages that are often beyond conscious awareness.

John Whittington is a coach, facilitator and teacher of systemic coaching and constellations. He enjoys working with a broad portfolio of executive leaders, entrepreneurs and public figures, facilitating systemic interventions in large corporates and teaching systemic coaching to executive coach students worldwide.
On the 12th of May he will facilitate a workshop for professional coaches interested in embedding systemic perspective in their practice.
His first book, an introduction to ‘Systemic Coaching & Constellations’ was published in June 2012 and inspired coaches all over the world to embrace and embed the systemic perspective in their practice:
